Our Founder, Alexia Hilbertidou, is an excellent orator with a powerful story to tell..
Alexia has spoken at over 150 corporate and community events to over 80,000 people about Gender Equality, Gen Z Mindset, Women in STEM, and the future of work. She has been a keynote speaker for over 40 corporate organisations, including the United Nations, Microsoft, Vodafone, PwC, ANZ Bank, and Deloitte.
Introducing Alexia,
She's joked with the Queen, flown with NASA, had lunch with Jamie (Oliver), tea with Teresa (May) and rubbed shoulders with David (Beckham).
Alexia is the founder of Changemakeher and GirlBoss New Zealand. In 7 years, she has grown the organisations to 17,500 members and programmes have been implemented in more than 150 schools across Australia, New Zealand and the wider Asia Pacific Region.
Alexia’s own mission is to get women to the table - the boardroom table that is, and she believes the decisions made while young are crucial in paving the way.
She has spoken at some of the world's largest conferences such as The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and One Young World, sharing stages with speakers such as Richard Branson, HRH Meghan Markle, and JK Rowling.
Alexia has received over 50 Awards for her work including being named the Prime Minister’s Pacific Youth Award Winner (Alexia is Greek / Samoan), Finalist for World Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Forbes 30 under 30, Pacific Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and Finalist for EY Entrepreneur of the Year.
She studied Leadership for Change at Cambridge University in the UK, and holds a Masters in Emerging Technologies.
Alexia was also awarded a Queen's Young Leader Award for Services to the Commonwealth by Her Majesty, The Queen, at Buckingham Palace. She was selected from over 20,000 nominations and is the youngest Commonwealth Citizen to hold this honour.
Through her jaw dropping, name dropping stories Alexia proves that you are never too young (or too short) to create change.

"Nothing could be more important than the work Alexia is doing for the next generation. Her voice is important to empower other youth"
Sheryl Sandberg
COO, Facebook
“I’ve been going to HR conferences for over 20 years, so I’ve seen a whole generation of talks about generations. I’ve always been a bit cynical about them. But Alexia provided a practical, insightful, funny, nuanced, and original presentation about Gen Z. NASA, David Beckham, Jamie Oliver, and the Queen have all had a chat to Alexia Hilbertidou about Gen Z and her work at GirlBoss NZ - maybe you should too!"
Alex Hagan
CEO, Kienco
"Alexia has superb youth voice. Her expertise of Gen Z enabled the audience to build greater clarity on the “why” and “how” of the radical rethinking required for a new mindset across our communities."
